Bharat Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil

Why This Recipe Works

Yemeni Lahsa is a creamy, flavorful egg dish spiced with traditional Yemeni flavors like cumin, turmeric, and chili. Using Bharat Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil adds a nutty aroma and enhances the depth of the spices while keeping it wholesome and authentic. Perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Serves: 2–3

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp Bharat Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1–2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp chili powder (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp milk or cream (optional, for extra creaminess)

Method

  1. Prepare the Base
Heat Bharat Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Add chopped onions and sauté until soft and translucent.
Add green chilies and spices (cumin, turmeric, chili powder) and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Whisk Eggs
In a bowl, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and optional milk/cream for a creamier texture.
  3. Cook the Eggs
Pour the eggs into the pan with the onion and spices.
Stir gently on medium-low heat until eggs are softly scrambled and creamy. Avoid overcooking — the eggs should remain moist.
  4. Finish & Serve
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve immediately with warm flatbread or rice.
