Bagason Middle East General Trading LLC is a Dubai-based FMCG distribution and food trading company supplying supermarkets, hypermarkets, groceries, HoReCa and e-commerce channels across the UAE and wider GCC. We manage a portfolio of international and own-label food and beverage brands through van sales, key accounts, modern trade and marketplace channels, backed by our own warehousing, cold chain and food production operations.

The role

Keep the books accurate in a business where stock moves every day. General ledger, payables, reconciliations, VAT and inventory costing — done properly and on time.

What you'll do

• Maintain the general ledger — journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions and fixed assets.
• Process supplier invoices and payments, verify against PO and GRN (three-way match), and reconcile supplier statements.
• Support inventory accounting: landed cost entries, stock valuation, inter-warehouse movements, price differences and stock adjustments.
• Perform bank, cash, customer and supplier reconciliations, including van sales cash and cheque deposits.
• Prepare and support UAE VAT returns — input/output VAT, reverse charge, imports and zero-rated / export transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end close and prepare audit schedules.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation for every transaction in Odoo.
• Prepare recurring management reports and assist with budgets and analysis.

What you need

• 3+ years' accounting experience, preferably at a trading, distribution or FMCG company in the UAE.
• Solid double-entry fundamentals plus practical UAE VAT knowledge.
• Exposure to inventory and landed cost accounting — a real advantage in this role.
• Strong Excel and hands-on ERP — Odoo preferred.
• Bachelor's in Accounting / Commerce; part-qualified ACCA / CMA / CA an advantage.
