Finance Manager – FMCG Distribution & Food Trading (Dubai, UAE)

About Bagason

Bagason Middle East General Trading LLC is a Dubai-based FMCG distribution and food trading company supplying supermarkets, hypermarkets, groceries, HoReCa and e-commerce channels across the UAE and wider GCC. We manage a portfolio of international and own-label food and beverage brands through van sales, key accounts, modern trade and marketplace channels, backed by our own warehousing, cold chain and food production operations.

The role

You own the finance function of an inventory-heavy distribution group. Reporting, compliance, working capital and margin accuracy are yours — and in this business, working capital is the job.

What you'll do

• Own the monthly close and management reporting — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis by brand, channel and customer.
• Manage working capital: receivables, payables, inventory cover and cash flow forecasting.
• Own inventory and margin accuracy — landed costing, standard vs. actual cost, stock provisioning for expiry and slow movers, and gross margin by SKU and channel.
• Ensure UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, filings, and audit-ready documentation; manage the external audit.
• Control trade spend, rebates and customer claims — accrual, settlement and margin impact.
• Oversee credit control and receivables policy in partnership with the Receivables Manager.
• Manage banking relationships, trade finance (LCs, TR, facilities) and supplier payment planning.
• Build budgets and forecasts and hold the business to them.
• Lead and develop the finance team; strengthen internal controls and ERP process discipline in Odoo.

What you need

• 8+ years in finance with 3+ in a management role, in FMCG, food trading, distribution or retail in the UAE.
• CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA qualified (or finalist with strong experience).
• Strong on inventory-heavy, multi-company distribution accounting — landed cost, intercompany, margin by channel.
• Current UAE VAT and Corporate Tax knowledge.
• Hands-on ERP — Odoo strongly preferred — and advanced Excel / BI reporting.
