Bagason Middle East General Trading LLC is a Dubai-based FMCG distribution and food trading company supplying supermarkets, hypermarkets, groceries, HoReCa and e-commerce channels across the UAE and wider GCC. We manage a portfolio of international and own-label food and beverage brands through van sales, key accounts, modern trade and marketplace channels, backed by our own warehousing, cold chain and food production operations.

The role

Operate and look after the machines on our food production and packing lines in Dubai — running them to target speed, to the right quality, and hygienically.

What you'll do

• Set up, start and operate filling, sealing, capping, labelling, coding and wrapping machines.
• Load raw materials and packaging materials onto the line and keep the line supplied.
• Set and verify the correct batch code, production date and expiry date on every run.
• Carry out routine in-process checks — fill weight, seal quality, label position, code legibility — and record them.
• Carry out machine changeovers, cleaning and line clearance between products.
• Do basic troubleshooting and minor adjustments; call maintenance for anything beyond that and never run a faulty machine.
• Follow all food hygiene, GMP and PPE rules and keep the work area clean.
• Report any quality problem, foreign body risk or machine fault immediately.
• Record output, rejects and wastage for your line.

What you need

• 1+ year operating machines in a food, beverage, pharmaceutical or packaging production environment. Strong candidates from other manufacturing will be considered.
• Mechanically confident — comfortable with settings, changeovers and minor adjustments.
• Careful and consistent; able to follow a standard procedure exactly, every time.
• Able to read English numbers, codes, labels and simple work instructions.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime.
• Physically fit for standing shifts.

Nice to have

• Food safety / HACCP or GMP training
• Date-coder, checkweigher or metal-detector experience
• Maintenance or technical background
