Bagason Middle East General Trading LLC is a Dubai-based FMCG distribution and food trading company supplying supermarkets, hypermarkets, groceries, HoReCa and e-commerce channels across the UAE and wider GCC. We manage a portfolio of international and own-label food and beverage brands through van sales, key accounts, modern trade and marketplace channels, backed by our own warehousing, cold chain and food production operations.

The role

You run the factory. Output, quality, food safety, cost, people and compliance are yours. You are accountable for producing to plan, to specification and to the standard that Dubai Municipality and our customers audit us against.

What you'll do

• Own the production plan — convert the sales and demand forecast into daily and weekly schedules, and deliver against them.
• Manage production, packing and repacking lines: manpower allocation, line efficiency, changeovers, downtime and output per shift.
• Own food safety and quality: HACCP plans, CCP monitoring, GMP, sanitation schedules, allergen control, pest control, traceability and batch coding.
• Maintain certification readiness — ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / HACCP and Dubai Municipality requirements — and lead internal, customer and third-party audits.
• Control cost and yield: raw material consumption vs. BOM, wastage, rework, packaging usage, labour cost per unit and energy.
• Work with Procurement and the warehouse on raw and packaging material planning, shelf-life management and FEFO consumption.
• Own maintenance coordination — preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown response and calibration of scales and critical equipment.
• Lead, roster, train and develop supervisors, operators and helpers; build the food-safety and hygiene culture.
• Drive continuous improvement — line balancing, OEE, layout, standard work and new product / SKU introduction with R&D and Marketing.
• Report daily production, yield, wastage, downtime and quality KPIs to management.

What you need

• 6+ years in food manufacturing, food packing or FMCG production, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Certified HACCP knowledge and hands-on experience with ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000; audit-facing experience.
• Proven ownership of a P&L-relevant number — yield, wastage, cost per unit or output per labour hour.
• Strong people leadership across a multilingual shop-floor team.
• ERP-based production experience — BOMs, work orders, batch/lot traceability. Odoo Manufacturing preferred.
• Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Dubai Municipality Person-in-Charge (PIC) certification, or ability to obtain it immediately.
