Bagason Middle East General Trading LLC is a Dubai-based FMCG distribution and food trading company supplying supermarkets, hypermarkets, groceries, HoReCa and e-commerce channels across the UAE and wider GCC. We manage a portfolio of international and own-label food and beverage brands through van sales, key accounts, modern trade and marketplace channels, backed by our own warehousing, cold chain and food production operations.

The role

You keep the cash coming in. You own a portfolio of trade customer accounts — supermarkets, groceries, HoReCa and key accounts — and you are responsible for accurate ledgers, clean reconciliations and overdue balances that go down, not up.

What you'll do

• Manage the accounts receivable ledger for an assigned portfolio: invoice posting accuracy, credit notes, returns, discounts and rebate adjustments.
• Run daily collection follow-up by phone, email and customer visit — chase invoices before they age, not after.
• Handle post-dated cheques (PDCs): recording, safe custody handover, deposit scheduling, clearing confirmation and immediate action on dishonoured cheques.
• Prepare and circulate statements of account and reconcile customer disputes — short payments, missing LPOs, price differences, expiry and damage claims — to closure.
• Coordinate with the Sales team on credit limits, blocked orders and payment terms, and flag accounts that should be stopped.
• Reconcile cash and cheque collections from van sales and delivery routes against deposit slips and bank statements.
• Maintain the AR ageing report and support monthly closing, provisions and audit schedules.
• Keep every transaction accurate in Odoo with proper supporting documents attached.

What you need

• 2–5 years in accounts receivable, credit control or collections, preferably at an FMCG, food or trading company in the UAE.
• Solid grasp of the AR cycle: invoice-to-cash, ageing, reconciliation, PDC handling and VAT-compliant credit notes.
• Strong Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables) and hands-on ERP — Odoo preferred.
• Firm and professional on a collection call — persistent without damaging the customer relationship.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
