Storekeeper – Inventory Control, GRN & Stock Accuracy (FMCG Food Warehouse, Dubai)

Bagason Middle East General Trading LLC is a Dubai-based FMCG distribution and food trading company supplying supermarkets, hypermarkets, groceries, HoReCa and e-commerce channels across the UAE and wider GCC. We manage a portfolio of international and own-label food and beverage brands through van sales, key accounts, modern trade and marketplace channels, backed by our own warehousing, cold chain and food production operations.

The role

You are the control point for stock accuracy. Everything that arrives, moves or leaves the warehouse passes through your records — and the stock figure the whole business trusts is the one you keep.

What you'll do

• Receive incoming stock against the purchase order and delivery documents — verify quantity, carton condition, batch numbers and expiry dates before acceptance, and reject what doesn't meet the shelf-life criteria.
• Post accurate GRNs / receipts in the ERP on the same day, and raise discrepancy reports for shortages, damages and wrong items.
• Direct putaway into the correct bin and rack locations, and keep the physical stock matched to the system location at all times.
• Issue stock against picking lists, transfer orders and van sales load sheets, and confirm the movements in the system.
• Own FIFO / FEFO stock rotation and the near-expiry register — flag short-shelf-life stock early enough for Sales to act on it, not after it's dead.
• Run daily cycle counts and periodic full stock counts; investigate and explain variances rather than just adjusting them.
• Manage returns, damages, scrap and expired stock with proper documentation and approvals.
• Maintain warehouse records — GRNs, delivery notes, transfer notes, batch and lot records — so the stock is fully traceable.
• Keep the store organised, labelled, clean and compliant with food-safety and hygiene requirements.
• Supervise and direct warehouse helpers on receiving, putaway and counting tasks.

What you need

• 3+ years as a storekeeper or inventory controller, preferably in an FMCG, food or distribution warehouse in the UAE.
• Practical, hands-on ERP or WMS experience — Odoo Inventory preferred — for GRN, transfers and stock adjustments.
• Genuine understanding of FIFO/FEFO, batch/lot tracking and expiry management in a food environment.
• Accurate with numbers and documents; able to read and reconcile picking lists, delivery notes and stock reports in English.
• Working Excel; comfortable with a barcode scanner.
• Honest and accountable — you are the person the stock figure depends on.
