Ingredients
For the Rice
- 1½ cups Nutrizain Jasmine Rice
- 3 cups water
- Salt to taste
For the Fried Rice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely sliced
- ½ cup carrots, finely diced
- ½ cup green beans, chopped
- ½ cup bell peppers, sliced
- ¼ cup spring onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp Nutrizain Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Nutrizain Fish Sauce (optional, for umami depth)
- 1 tsp Nutrizain Palm Vinegar
- ½ tsp white pepper or black pepper
- Salt to taste
Method
- Cook the Rice
Rinse Nutrizain Jasmine Rice until water runs clear.
Cook with water and a pinch of salt until fluffy.
Spread on a tray and let it cool completely (this prevents soggy fried rice). - Prepare the Base
Heat oil in a wok or large pan over high heat.
Add garlic and onions, sauté until fragrant and slightly translucent. - Add Vegetables
Add carrots, beans, and bell peppers.
Stir-fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp. - Season
Add soy sauce, fish sauce, palm vinegar, and pepper.
Toss well to coat vegetables evenly. - Add Rice
Add the cooled jasmine rice.
Stir-fry on high heat, breaking up clumps, until evenly mixed and heated through. - Finish & Serve
Add spring onions, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.
